Real-time imaging of invadopodia in tumor microenvironment context

Abstract

We use intravital multiphoton microscopy in mouse models of breast carcinoma to understand cancer cell metastasis. We demonstrate that invadopodia in vivo are necessary for metastasis and that they can be eliminated by microenvironment modulation.
