Abstract

According to recent clinical trials, adjuvant therapy with fluorouracil (Adrucil) plus levamisole increases the overall survival rate for patients with Dukes' stage C colon cancer. As a result of these findings, the National Cancer Institute has advocated use of this treatment option for eligible patients. Widespread use of this regimen may save many lives.
