Abstract

Binuclear complexes of the type CuML2 (M = Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II); L = the dianion of the Schiff base obtained by condensation of 5-amino-l,3,4-thiadiazole-2-sulfonamide with 2-ketoglutaric acid) were prepared and characterised by standard procedures. All these derivatives possess good inhibitory properties towards the zinc enzyme carbonic anhydrase.
