Dr. McCue has over 40 years of experience as a pathologist, the last 35 in a variety of roles at Thomas Jefferson University and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Some of these positions include Director of Surgical Pathology; Director of Anatomic Pathology; Director of Resident Training, Department of Pathology; and Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs, Department of Pathology.

McCue received his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Some of his research interests include the pathobiology of genitourinary tumors, diabetic renal disease, and the pathobiology of prostate cancer. McCue has published nearly 200 scholarly articles and book chapters.

He is a member of several academic and professional societies, including the International Academy of Pathology, the College of American Pathologists, and the American Association of Pathologists.
