Dr. Glenn Rall is a Professor and Chief Academic Officer at the Fox Chase Cancer Center and Assistant Dean of Faculty Affairs at Temple University’s Lewis Katz School of Medicine in Philadelphia. As CAO, Rall oversees all education and mentoring activities at the Cancer Center, as well as our educational outreach programs into the community. Rall received his PhD at Vanderbilt, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the Scripps Research Institute, after which he joined the Fox Chase faculty in 1995. For over 25 years, Rall's laboratory studied viral infections of the brain and the immune responses to those infections, with the goal of defining how viruses contribute to disease in humans, including cancer. His service to the scientific community includes membership on the Autism Speaks Scientific Advisory Board, Editor of the journal PLoS Pathogens, Program Chair of the American Society for Virology, and Chair of numerous NIH grant review panels. Rall is a co-author of the leading virology textbook, Principles of Virology, and at Fox Chase, he was a co-leader of the COVID Response Team.
