I am interested in exploring the causes of Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC), as well as developing novel therapies for both SCLC and other recalcitrant cancers. I am currently studying unique vulnerabilities for SCLC governed by neuroendocrine differentiation as well as faulty cell cycle transition dynamics.
The Schultz lab aims to further understand small cell lung cancer and unique vulnerabilities associated with neuroendocrine differentiation and characteristic mutations present in small cell lung cancer. All work at the Schultz lab is designed to be translationally relevant, with every project aimed at near-term translatability to the clinic if successful.
